  • about Nora is responsible for all advocacy activities at the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF) in order to foster media freedom and representing the mission of the Centre in the public and political debate. In addition, she advocates for the ECPMF by liaising and mobilising cooperation. Moreover, her tasks include developing and coordinating projects and creating funding concepts. Nora’s work experiences in Germany and abroad include different journalistic and editorial occupations as well as strategic corporate and science communication, for instance in the field of sustainable development. She has an academic background in Communication Science and International Criminology, with theses about media impacts on criminal justice and the relation of press freedom and corruption.The European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF) is an independent, non-profit European Co-operative Society (SCE), founded in June 2015 in Leipzig. It's a pan-European organisation aiming to procure the application of the European Charter on Freedom of the Press throughout Europe. It aims to unite the media freedom community in Europe and to counter attacks on free media both nationally and internationally. The Centre helps to shape a common European media space and supports, defends, explains and expands pan-European media freedom.
